The relationship between you as the general manager/chief operating officer and your club's president has a significant impact on the performance of your club's board and the club generally, and how the club and that board is perceived particularly by the members and potential members. An understanding of best practices in governance and a relationship of trust, respect and understanding between the elected and operational leaders of the Club are critical to your success.
The 2018 workshop will build on the successes of the past workshops held over the past two years, and the feedback from the participants. We're pleased to have Henry Delozier, Partner, Global Golf Advisors, back again as the result of the excellent reviews from the 2017 workshop in Vancouver! Henry is well known in the international club community for his work as consultant, strategic advisor, marketer, advocate of customer service and new concepts, and his understanding of what success means in the club world. He has done many presentations at the CMAA World Conferences and also ran a very successful CMI course at our recent National Conference in Ottawa.

This workshop is an opportunity to have focused, quality time away from the club with your leadership partner as well as the opportunity to network with those from other clubs, sharing experiences, challenges and solutions.

"I had the pleasure of attending a two day CSAE workshop Symposium developed for Chief Officers and Chief Elected Officers in my role as incoming President of CSCM. This session was developed to help clarify and strengthen the unique role between Senior Staff and Board Chair’s and ensure that everyone is on the same page with the goals and vision for their organizations. Last year CSCM piloted a similar workshop in Toronto which I also attended.
Bill Morari, General Manager/COO, The National Club, Past President of CSCM
