BMI Courses are professional development courses that provide tangible career benchmarks for managers to track their progress and strive for various levels of competency. 

CSCM offers the following core BMI programs in partnership with the Ted Rogers School of Management at Ryerson University once per year on a rotating basis in January-February. Those pursuing their CCM designation are required to complete the first three courses plus either BMI Food & Beverage Management or BMI Golf Management.

  • BMI Club Management (formerly BMI I)
  • BMI Leadership Principles (formerly BMI II)
  • BMI General Manager/Chief Operating Officer (formerly BMI III)
  • BMI Food & Beverage Management
  • BMI Golf Management (offered in the US)

The following BMI programs are available through CMAA throughout the year in addition to the above:

  • Certification Review Course (November and April, followed by the CCM exam)
  • BMI Tactical Leadership
  • BMI Strategic Leadership

CSCM Active or Associate members registering for BMI courses may apply for a bursary through the Joe Perdue BMI Bursary Program to assist with registration fees. Two rounds of applications are held annually with deadlines of March 1 and September 1.
