Cradled amid sky-scraping mountains and sparkling ocean, Vancouver is, in our humble opinion, “the” place to be. We are thrilled to welcome the 2022 CMAC National Conference from Saturday November 5th to Wednesday November 9th.

The conference opens with a James Bond themed black-tie gala at the Terminal City Club on Saturday, November 5th and the closing President’s Dinner will be hosted at The Vancouver Club on Tuesday November 8thyou won’t want to miss either of these! Midway through the conference you can choose which Club Tour to follow, visiting Vancouver Lawn Tennis & Badminton Club or Shaughnessy Golf and Country Club, with both tours finishing at The Arbutus Club one of the premier Family Clubs in North America. We’ll hear from the GMs of local clubs, sharing their best ideas and best lessons!

We are honoured to have esteemed speakers sharing their stories, wisdom and insights. Chief Clarence Louie of the Osoyoos Indian Band (OIB) joins us Sunday morning, imparting wisdom behind the OIB motto – “businesses thrive here because of our location, the richness of our land, and because we want to do business with the world. This is how we strengthen our future by protecting our past.” We can all learn from his message and example and Chief Louie’s business development and experience. Check out the program at a glance and brace yourself for an amazing closing speaker with the inspiring story of our own CMAC member, Sébastien Jacques, who defeated his odds to survive and thrive, encouraging us to believe in ourselves and the power of setting goals to reach our potential.

This year we are fortunate to have incredible coaches attending that you can be pre-book sessions with. Information will be provided shortly! As we look forward to our future, coaching and wellness is a highly effective way to learn, make significant changes in attitudes, beliefs, and behaviors to help achieve personal and professional goals.

The Vancouver area is fortunate to have many fantastic clubs. It was hard to narrow down the list for us to visit. If you have time to stay after the conference, reach out to your fellow members in Vancouver … you just may be able to visit and local clubs are prepared to host you in advance or after the conference! In addition, the city boasts plenty of world class galleries and public exhibits for art enthusiasts, historical sites and districts for history buffs, and scenic hiking trails and botanical gardens for nature lovers are just a small sampling of the city’s diverse attractions.

Join us as we look forward to the future.  As we navigate past the pandemic and learn to live in this new environment, this conference will show us how we can best prepare our clubs for the future.
