Calendar of Events

This Calendar of Events lists CMAC National events as well as Branch education programs which that can be attended by CMAC members across the country. To find more information on activities for your Branch and region, please refer to the Regional Branches section of the website or contact your Branch directly. 

Please note that to successfully register, you must complete the following steps: First, select your current member category; next, select the desired event package; lastly, click "Save & Continue" to fill out the registration form.

To register multiple people on the same invoice, register yourself first, then you will be given the option to add additional people. A separate registration form must be completed for each individual.

Attract, Onboard & Retain – What Clubs Can Leverage for Success

5:30 pm - 8:00 pm

The evening will begin at 5:30 pm with a cocktail hour featuring an introduction of the Club Management Association of Canada by CEO Suzanne Godbehere and President David Main (GM/COO, Toronto Lawn Tennis Club Ltd.).  Also in attendance will be Southern Interior BC Branch President Thom Killingsworth (Executive Director, Kelowna Yacht Club) and Southern Interior BC Branch Vice President Adam Blair, PGA (GM, Vernon Golf & Country Club). 

Scott Bellhouse (Principal, Bellhouse Hospitality) will then present and lead a group discussion focused primarily on how clubs can best position themselves for success in recruiting, attracting, and then retaining employees - some of the biggest issues clubs have been facing when dealing with a post-pandemic world.  Whether seasonal or full-time operations, each club is unique and possesses its own advantages when it comes to employee rewarding and retention programs.  Join us for this informative presentation and discussion, to understand different methods and solutions you will be able to take back and utilize at your club throughout your future employee attraction campaigns or events.

Scott Bellhouse, Bellhouse Hospitality Group
Scott has been engaging leaders for some of Canada’s most respected hospitality organizations since he founded Bellhouse Hospitality (formerly Profile Hospitality Group) in 2011.  Focused on recruitment for senior leadership searches and executive suite talent, Scott brings over 20 years of restaurant operations expertise in major Canadian cities including Vancouver, Winnipeg, and Toronto for notable brands such as Oliver & Bonacini and Earls.  During his decade-long tenure at O&B, Scott played a pivotal role as Director of Operations in the opening of five new restaurant locations and mentored dozens of promising individuals into management roles.  Tapping into his passion for advising and teaching, Scott provides guidance to the Bellhouse team and has taught leadership courses at George Brown College and guest lectured at the University of Guelph.
