Calendar of Events

This Calendar of Events lists CMAC National events as well as Branch education programs which that can be attended by CMAC members across the country. To find more information on activities for your Branch and region, please refer to the Regional Branches section of the website or contact your Branch directly. 

Please note that to successfully register, you must complete the following steps: First, select your current member category; next, select the desired event package; lastly, click "Save & Continue" to fill out the registration form.

To register multiple people on the same invoice, register yourself first, then you will be given the option to add additional people. A separate registration form must be completed for each individual.

2021 CMI Course Financial Confidence Boot Camp

Learning Objectives

  1. Understanding of the two core financial statements and how they each tell the story of how a club is doing.
  2. Ability to assess any club’s financial position by highlighting a club’s strengths, weaknesses, and culture through the financials.
  3. Ability to address the ins-and-outs of interpreting and explaining balance sheet insights to your board and finance committee.
  4. Creating KPIs that are developed correctly to explain insights to your board and finance committee.
  5. Session attendees will emerge with clarity regarding the drivers of sustainable financial success and with the confidence to use that clarity to lead their volunteer leadership.

Course Instructor

  • Ray Cronin, Founder & Chief Innovator at Club Benchmarking has earned a reputation as a top-rated speaker for club manager, controller, and board education. He is widely recognized for his ability to communicate the strategic financial dynamics in private clubs. He served three terms as President of Thorny Lea Golf Club in Brockton, MA. He holds a BSEE from Worcester Polytechnic Institute and an MBA from Harvard Business School. 
  • Chris Barron, CCM, Executive Director Northeast US & Eastern Canada for Club Benchmarketing. He studied Sports Management at the University of Massachusetts, Amherst and began his club career at Vermont National Country Club where he served as General Manager for seven years. He earned his Certified Club Manager designation (CCM) in 2014 and in 2016. He became the first General Manager to serve Thorny Lea Golf Club in Brockton, MA. Chris served as President of the New England Chapter CMAA and on several national committees.
