The relationship between a general manager/chief operating officer and a Club president has a significant impact on the performance of a Club's board and the Club in general. Developing a relationship of trust, respect and understanding between the elected and operational leaders of the Club are critical to the success of the Club as is having a thorough understanding of best practices in governance. Creating a culture of great governance can, in turn, create a well-run Club that is valued by its members and potential members. Henry DeLozier, Partner, Global Golf Advisors, will serve as a workshop leader.
