Honourary Life Membership

The purpose of the Honourary Life Membership Award is to recognize a member of the Canadian Society of Club Managers (CSCM) who has rendered distinguished service to CSCM.


Honourary Life Membership is bestowed at the discretion of the CSCM Board of Directors. The proposed candidate must meet most of the following criteria:

  • Has been an Active Member in good standing of CSCM for a minimum of 20 years
  • Has obtained either the Fellow of Professional Club Management (FPCM) designation or Certified Club Manager (CCM) designation
  • Has served CSCM at the National Board or National Committee level
  • Has been recommended by a CSCM Branch Board
  • Has rendered distinguished service and/or has made outstanding contributions to the club management profession above and beyond those normally expected of a CSCM member
  • Continues to be active in a CSCM Branch


Nominations are reviewed by the Awards Committee of the CSCM Board of Directors based on recommendation from a CSCM Branch Board. Nomination forms, complete with supporting documentation must be submitted to national@cscm.org

As part of the evaluation process, the Awards Committee may conduct an interview.


The award includes a plaque, letter from the CSCM President to the recipient and the recipient's Club Board where appropriate, and complimentary CSCM membership at the National and Branch level for the member's life.
