The Club Managers Association of America (CMAA) is the professional Association for managers of membership clubs. CMAA has more than 6,500 members who manage more than 3,000 country, city, athletic, faculty, yacht, town and military clubs. The objectives of the Association are to promote and advance friendly relations among persons connected with the management of clubs and other associations of similar character; to encourage the education and advancement of its members; to assist club officers and members, through their managers to secure the utmost in efficient and successful operations.

The Association’s Club Foundation supports the advancement of the club management profession. The Club Foundation sponsors research, funds industry education programs, provides financial assistance to educational institutions and awards scholarships to outstanding students interested in the club management profession.

CMAA’s budget is $7.5 million. The staff numbers 37. There are 50 senior chapters, 40 student chapters and several student colonies, both in the United States and abroad.

CSCM enjoys a very special relationship with CMAA and many CSCM members are also members of CMAA.  CSCM members receive a subscription to the CMAA magazine, Club Management, included in their membership, and the CSCM Certification Program is based on the CMAA program.  Representatives of CSCM are invited to attend the annual World Conference hosted by CMAA and participate in the International Symposium.

Services for CSCM Members

CMAA provides access to key services for CSCM members.  Those CSCM members who have provided a birth date to CSCM National Office (the identifier needed by CMAA), now have access to purchases on the CMAA Bookmart, registration for BMI courses and the annual World Conference on Club Management at member rates. 

If you are not a CMAA member, please log in to the CSCM site and obtain the username and password from Services Available from CMAA under Member Services .   Please note that this may change from time to time and CSCM members will be advised by broadcast e-mail as soon as the new information is received from CMAA. 

If you are already a CMAA member, you will simply continue to use your CMAA username and password.

Those CSCM members who have not yet provided their birth dates and who wish to access these services, should simply go to their profile to update their records on-line or contact CSCM National Office.  An updated data file is being provided to the CMAA on a monthly basis.

International Associations

CMAA has formal agreements with a number of club management associations across the world who have implemented the CCM designation.  These organizations are referred to as CMAA's "Global Partners".  CSCM is proud to be considered a "Tier One Global Partner" as the first international organization to initiate the certification in club management program.  There are currently 9 Global Partners as follows:
