Active Membership Category

An Active Member is any person who, at the time of applying for membership in the Society, is employed as a general manager, chief operating officer, chief executive officer or senior manager of a club or similar association, or an individual who is employed in a senior management position which reports directly to the person holding the aforementioned position.  Active Members are entitled to vote at all Society or Branch meetings and are eligible to hold office as a director or officer of the Society or any Branch.

International Certification

Take the challenge of certification! The Certified Club Manager (CCM) designation, as established by the Club Managers Association of America (CMAA) and recognized internationally, is designed to evaluate the ten (10) core competencies of club management. CCMs have the added advantage of being recognized as a professional in the industry, within North America and internationally.

The Society’s Position Posting service is a popular membership benefit as it provides a listing of career opportunities in senior club management positions, accessible to members only on the CSCM website.

Annual GM Compensation Report

Do you need current compensation information to benchmark your package against your peers? Well this report is compiled of data on a GM’s salary, bonuses and benefits and is broken down by club type, revenue, region, and population.

On-line Discussion Forum

Our on-line discussion forum is a resource where members can ask questions specific to their clubs, seek advice on how to approach a tricky situation with their club's Board, raise industry-related issues for discussion, or simply share a good joke. Membership Roster and On-line Directory

Your membership also includes a subscription to Club Manager Quarterly (CMQ) magazine. CMQ is a forum for the current issues and trends in club management and for professional and personal development. As well, membership in CSCM provides a subscription for all members to CMAA’s Club Management Magazine. The Society also publishes a quarterly electronic newsletter called National Update, which provides the latest news and issues of the Society and our stakeholders.


CSCM offers a variety of annual awards program which recognizes member achievements.

Branch Events

In addition to the national benefits and services listed above, CSCM provides members access to the benefits and services of their respective Branches. The Society consists o eleven (11) Branches covering all provinces. These Branches hold regular meetings and professional development sessions focusing on networking and education.
