The Canadian Society of Club Managers to
Recognize Leaders in Club Management at Annual Conference

TORONTO, Ontario (May 7, 2019) – Professionals working in club management in Canada are invited to submit nominations for the 2019 Awards Program hosted by the Canadian Society of Club Managers (CSCM). The annual awards honour members who have made a significant contribution to the Society and the profession of club management in Canada, supporting CSCM’s mission to offer quality education and networking opportunities for its members.

The awards recognize the best in club management in Canada, including new recipients of the Certified Club Manager (CCM) designation.  The Awards Ceremony will take place on Sunday, October 6, 2019 at the CSCM National Conference in London, Ontario.

The deadline for submission for all Awards will be 5:00 PM EDT on Monday, June 10, 2019.
Individuals and/or clubs can submit an application for several awards categories such as Club of the Year, Club Manager of the Year, Excellence in Teaching, and Young Professional.

Recognizing and celebrating the achievements of CSCM members is very important to the Society.  Michael Hearse, CCM, Member of the CSCM National Board of Directors and Chair of the Awards Committee remarked, “It is a tremendous honour to help facilitate the recognition of those Managers as well as Clubs from within our industry that continue to demonstrate great leadership and excellence: who, through their pursuit of the extraordinary, have helped strengthen the profession of Club Management.”

Tal Czudner, CCM, General Manager of Essex Golf & Country Club and last year’s winner of the Club Manager of the Year Award said, “I was humbled and honoured to be chosen as the 2018 Club Manager of the Year. Essex is an historic club with great traditions, a diverse and passionate membership base, and many spectacular long-term staff.  Essex is an environment where you can balance both tradition and fun, which is what fits my personality and management style.”
