The Club Management Association of Canada Seeks Nominations for Annual Awards Program

TORONTO, Ontario (April 13, 2022) – Professionals working in club management in Canada are invited to submit nominations for the 2022 Awards Program hosted by the Club Management Association of Canada (CMAC). The annual awards honour members who have made a significant contribution to the Association and the profession of club management in Canada, supporting CMAC’s mission to offer quality education and networking opportunities for its members.

The awards recognize the best in club management in Canada, including new recipients of the Certified Club Manager (CCM) designation. The Awards Ceremony will take place on Sunday, November 6, 2022 at the CMAC National Conference in Vancouver, British Columbia.

The deadline for submission for all awards will be 5:00 PM ET on Wednesday, June 8, 2022.

Individuals and/or clubs can apply for several awards categories such as Club of the Year, Club Manager of the Year, Excellence in Teaching, and Young Professional.

Recognizing and celebrating the achievements of CMAC members is very important to the Association. Ryan Woods, Member of CMAC National Board of Directors and Chair of the Awards Committee remarked, “It is vitally important to recognize and appreciate the fantastic leaders and future leaders in our industry. The Awards Program is our opportunity to showcase and highlight some of our leaders, spreading the word and strengthening the club management profession.” You can hear more from Ryan in the awards promotional video.

2021 President’s Award recipient, Bill Morari shared, “It truly was an honour and humbling experience to be named the 2021 President’s Award recipient, which recognizes one’s lifetime achievements in the private club industry. I can honestly say that I have greatly benefited over my career, both professionally and personally, through my involvement with CMAC, for which I am eternally grateful. To be included in the exclusive group of past recipients is a tremendous honour and I feel extremely fortunate and very thankful to be recognized by my peers and colleagues.”
